Arizona to Houston. Finally updated!

31 01 2008

Well I guess the 400 miles to the gallon thing wasn’t true, because we go to Tempe, AZ and the gas light came on. Well at least the gas out here is a little bit cheaper, $2.89. We are making pretty good time, when we filled up it was 10AM. And by looking at the map and figuring out mileage we should hit El Paso about 4PM.

At one of our stops Diane tried to have me committed.

We passed through New Mexico like it was standing still.

Back home.

28 01 2008

Safe and sound. Going to bed. Tired! Good night.

Hello Denver!

28 01 2008

I made nice and bumpy to Denver. My flight was on-time, the weather is good, I have to change planes but I am at the gate and this flight is on-time too, and I am talking to Diane on the phone. So in other words everything is all good. I will be arriving back in the IE in about 3 hours. They just called boarding for my flight so I better get going.

No chance to update yet. Maybe tonight once I get home.

28 01 2008

Sorry I haven’t updated a thing yet. Things have been absolutely crazy and tiring. We made finally made it to our destination, Merritt Island, Florida, last night at about 10:30pm. We unloaded visited for a few and then crashed out. This morning we had planned on finding where Diane will have to be driving into Orlando, but we had a few incidents this morning, nothing serious only comical. I am in the airport in Orlando, currently awaiting my plane. Pray for good weather in Denver, because that is where I am off to next, then home.

Safe and sound in Houston.

25 01 2008

We made it safely to Houston, got into town at about 1:30pm central time. I don’t have the energy to post all of our other pictures. But they will be up by tomorrow.

On the road!!!

24 01 2008

We had a bit of a late night making sure that we had the car packed and had everything we needed. So after grabbing some early morning road trip essentials, breakfast burritos and hot cocoa, we got on the freeway about 4:30am.

We had some light rain, and then it got a little heavier about Redlands, then by about Palm Springs the skies cleared up and made for an amazing view of the mountains, the almost full moon highlighted the snow covered peak and the clouds surrounding. It was pretty quiet due to both of us being a little tired. Nothing too exciting on the road, except for a vehicle on the opposite side of the highway that was overturned.

There wasn’t much of a sunrise because of a huge cloud bank to the east, but I did get a few nice shots of the clouds. Diane thinks I have an obsession with clouds, I just think they are amazing.

We made it to the Colorado River and then we were in Arizona in no time. Arizona is sweet, 75mph speed limits, woohoo! Diane just informed me that we will not need to stop for gas until Florida, because the Sentra gets 400 miles to the gallon!I’m excited :D !

We have plenty more pictures, stories, and videos to come.

Getting things together.

23 01 2008

I just got done packing up all of my things. I think this is the longest trip that I have ever packed the least for, two bags – one for clothes and one for all my electronic goodies, hehe. I don’t think I can say the same for Diane, but she will be gone for two months, so I guess that’s okay. Hopefully next post will be from somewhere along Interstate 10. One more thing, please pray that this heavy storm coming through will not slow us down and we will have a safe journey.

Welcome to my blog!

22 01 2008

This is the first post on my new blog. I am looking forward to writing and sharing pictures and videos from events of my life. Currently Diane and I are preparing for a huge step forward in our lives, a cross-country journey from California to Florida. We are driving to Florida so that Diane can begin a two month internship with Relevant Magazine, then I will be flying back to California.
